Juwaun Seegars is a native of Lancaster, South Carolina where he attended Lancaster High School. He came to Charlotte in 2000 to attended college at Queens University of Charlotte where he majored in business administration with a concentration in pre-law. Juwaun was also a member of the men's basketball team at Queens and played on the 2001 and 2003 East Region Championship teams. Upon graduating from Queens, Juwaun worked in the undergraduate admissions office of his alma mater where he served as senior assistant director of admissions.

During law school Juwaun gained invaluable experience interning in the Office of the Public Defender of Mecklenburg County as well as with Legal Aid of North Carolina where he was a Martin Luther King Jr. Scholar. Juwaun also worked with private practice attorneys on a number of employment law matters while in law school.

Juwaun loves finding ways to give back to the community; currently he serves on the Queens University of Charlotte Athletic Hall of Fame Committee and the Queens University of Charlotte Alumni Board. In his free time, Juwaun enjoys spending time with his wife Kristin and their three daughters.
